If you are fortunate enough to live in Akron, go see him soon. If he keeps mashing AA pitching the way he has been, he'll be on his way to Buffalo soon. Expect to see a September debut for Matt LaPorta, allowing him to maintain his rookie status for the 2009 season. He'll then be the pre-season favorite for American League Rookie of the Year in 2009. I think Choo and Francisco deserve a shot to play for the rest of the year. As far as the other two prospects in the trade, Zach Johnson is a guy with some MLB experience already. Shapiro viewed his addition as a depth-builder. Rob Bryson is a lower-level pitcher who has the potential to be a closer if he progresses like he is capable. The last component of the trade is a player to be named later. There is no timetable for when the Tribe will get this player.
